Configuring Mac Netscape 4.5-4.7x Mail
for SMTP Authentication
1. Open Netscape Communicator
2. Click on the Edit menu
3. Click on Preferences
4. In the Preferences window click on Mail
Servers under Mail & Newsgroups
5. The following settings will need to be changed
in the Account Information Window.
a) In the field labeled Outgoing mail
(SMTP) server type in smtp.dejazzd.com
b) In the field labeled Outgoing mail server
user name type in your
user name in the format username.dejazzd.com
(for example, the email address jdoe@dejazzd.com
would have the username jdoe.dejazzd.com)
c) At the top of the window under Incoming
Mail servers click on the server name and
press the Edit
button on the right.
