Disabling SMTP Authentication for Macintosh Outlook Express 5

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click on the Tools menu
3. Click on Accounts
4. In the Accounts window highlight the account and click on Edit.
5. Click on the name of your account under Description.
6. Click on the Edit button.

   

7. Click Click here for Advanced sending options

   

8. Uncheck the box for "SMTP server requires authentication"
9. Close this window by clicking on the small box in the upper left hand corner.

   

10. Press OK in the Edit Account window to finish the changes.
