Disabling SMTP Authentication for Macintosh Mail version 1.3 (OS 10.3)
- Open Mac Mail 1.3
- Click on the Mail menu
- Click on Preferences.
- Make sure Accounts is selected.
- Click on the name of your account under the Accounts column.

- Click on the Server Settings button under the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) section
- Click on the drop-down for Authentication and select None.
- Click OK
- Close the Accounts window by clicking on the red X.
- Press Save in the Save Changes screen.

- The following settings will need to be changed in the SMTP Server Options screen.
- In the field labeled Outgoing Mail Server type in smtp.dejazzd.com
- Next to Authentication, click on the up/down arrows and click on Password.
- In the field labeled User Name type in your user name in the username@dejazzd.com format.
- In the field labeled Password type in your email password.
- Press OK in the SMTP Server Options screen.
- Close the Accounts window by clicking on the red X.
- Press Save in the Save Changes screen.
